A piece developed from ‘Transformation Bags’, for production in Indonesia by designer Fani Atmanti.
Omo bag is made using Afoa wood native to the Nias island. This wood is traditionally used by villagers to build their homes or to carve into ornamental sculptures and figurines.
Through using this w
ood in contemporary design, Omo hopes to keep traditional craft relevant to a homogenising global culture.
