Inspired by Henri Matisse’s words, ‘I have sought myself everywhere’, this collection explores my artistic journey and offers a subtle reflection on the studio’s interest in landscape painting. Convinced that, beyond its figurative function, incorporating landscape into decorative art means tracing t
he contours of a plausible world by connecting the sky, the sea, the rock, the foliage and the earth, I seek to capture its essence.
Whilst the three pieces that make up this project — a hand-painted panoramic backdrop, a seascape, and a floral motif — are designed to stand independently of one another, when brought together, they complement each other and extend the narrative beyond their respective frames.
