Grand Prize
Self-styled "Caribbean couture" brand Botter spent lockdown establishing a coral nursery off the Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao. Herrebrugh and Botter, who were also artistic directors of Nina Ricci until earlier this year, tap into their roots, Curaçao and the Dominican Republic, for their gender-fluid clothing rooted in Caribbean culture. Visibly stunned, the Dutch duo accepted the Grand Prize with a promise to pour the resources into equally innovative sustainable projects, Botter has already pledged to allocate a percentage of profits to the management of the Curaçao coral farm.

Dolly Cohen is a jewelry artist who specializes in sculpture and hand made "mouth Jewelry" better known as Grillz. Ten years ago, after a short career as a professional dental technician, Dolly decided to combine her love for Jewelry and dental work and started creating Grillz in the french capital. Her innovative ideas and her attention to details quickly got her the attention of international recording artists. Taking inspiration from street culture and modern art, Dolly makes one of a kind pieces for renowed artists such as Pharell, Rihanna, Jay Z, Beyoncé, Madonna and many more.

Steven Stokey-Daley
LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers
The 25-year-old London-based designer Steven Stokey-Daley has won this year’s LVMH Prize with his menswear label S.S.Daley, created in 2020. S.S.Daley plays on the idea of British heritage with romantic fabrics and a focus on sustainability, while bringing a touch of decidedly queer humor. Stokey-Daley studied theatre before studying fashion at the University of Westminster. When lockdown came, he started his S.S Daley collection, selling direct to consumers through his Instagram and website, with the brilliant tagline "Championing quality & frivolity while maintaining ecological integrity."

International Woolmark Prize
Saul Nash was announced the winner of the 2022 International Woolmark Prize. The British Guyanan designer was praised for his modern use of Merino wool, bridging a gap between active solutions and more formal requirements. With a focus on minimising waste, and emphasising movement and performance, Saul Nash’s modern interpretation of knitwear challenges preconceived ideas surrounding sportswear. MMUSOMAXWELL designers Maxwell Boko and Mmuso Potsane are also celebrated after receiving the Karl Lagerfeld Prize for Innovation.

Grand Prix du jury Première Vision
British menswear designer Ifeanyi Okwuadi won the Grand Prix du jury Première Vision, winning over a jury headed by Louise Trotter, creative director of Lacoste, with his collection "Take the Toys From the Boys". The hybrid tailoring collection was inspired by the Greenham Common Women’s Peace Camp, a series of camps established to protest against nuclear weapons being placed at a British air force base, which lasted from 1981 to 2000. Ifeanyi Okwuadi said he’s been working on the topic for almost six years. "It’s 100 percent emotive," said the designer, whose mother is from Sierra Leone and father from Nigeria. "I think we should all take action against the things that we find horrible in this world."

Grand Prix du jury Accessoires de Mode
French designer and jeweler Capucine Huguet won the Grand Prix du jury Accessoires de Mode presided by Christian Louboutin. Graduated from Central Saint Martins, she wishes to warn against the melting of ice. Her first collection Wahlenbergbreen mementos aims to shed light on the various manifestations of erosion and the disappearance of glaciers. The pieces are inspired by snowflakes, icebergs and cracks. Capucine Huguet stood out for the depth of her approach and the quality of the jewellery she created. According to the members of the jury, she was able to develop a poetic and very contemporary approach to the climate emergency through the deconstruction of the process of melting ice.

Premiere Classe x Eyes on Talents Award
Evgeniia Kazarezova won the first edition of the Premiere Classe x Eyes on Talents Award with her creation Wearable vase. The award wishes to reward talents for their creativity and their ability to reinvent themselves and continue to develop their creations through the pandemic context. Former architect and interior designer, Evgeniia Kazarezova founded ZHENI a ceramic design studio based in Bratislava, Slovakia. She created Wearable vase, an accessory that allows flowers to be worn as part of an all-day outfit. The interaction of man and nature through design and craftsmanship is the main theme of Evgeniia's projects. While respecting the environment, she creates intermediate objects that put this connection into practice.

BFC Foundation Award
Nensi Dojaka won the British Fashion Council Foundation Award for emerging designer talent, two months after scooping the 2021 LVMH Prize. Nensi Dojaka is an Albanian womenswear designer based in London who graduated from Central Saint Martins. She is best known for her layered, deconstructed designs with intricate cut-outs and strings, whose fans include Bella Hadid.

American Womenswear Designer of the Year
Christopher John Rogers debuted his label in 2016. Since then the designer has made serious strides in the fashion world, with his eye-catching patterns and brightly hued designs seen on the likes of Michelle Obama, Rihanna, Zendaya, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Vice President Kamala Harris. Christopher John Rogers, who was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, was the 2019 winner of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. In 2020, he also received the CFDA’s Emerging Designer Award.

American Menswear Designer of the Year
Emily Bode Aujla created her eponymous brand, Bode, in 2016. Bode is a luxury menswear brand that expresses a sentimentality for the past through the study of personal narratives and historical techniques. Modern workwear silhouettes united with female-centric traditions of quilting, mending, and appliqué shape the collections. Each piece tells a story and is tailor-made. Emily Bode Aujla received the CFDA’s Emerging Designer Award in 2019.
