Botter

Grand Prize

Self-styled "Caribbean couture" brand Botter spent lockdown establishing a coral nursery off the Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao. Herrebrugh and Botter, who were also artistic directors of Nina Ricci until earlier this year, tap into their roots, Curaçao and the Dominican Republic, for their gender-fluid clothing rooted in Caribbean culture. Visibly stunned, the Dutch duo accepted the Grand Prize with a promise to pour the resources into equally innovative sustainable projects, Botter has already pledged to allocate a percentage of profits to the management of the Curaçao coral farm.

Grand Prix du jury Première Vision

British menswear designer Ifeanyi Okwuadi won the Grand Prix du jury Première Vision, winning over a jury headed by Louise Trotter, creative director of Lacoste, with his collection "Take the Toys From the Boys". The hybrid tailoring collection was inspired by the Greenham Common Women’s Peace Camp, a series of camps established to protest against nuclear weapons being placed at a British air force base, which lasted from 1981 to 2000. Ifeanyi Okwuadi said he’s been working on the topic for almost six years. "It’s 100 percent emotive," said the designer, whose mother is from Sierra Leone and father from Nigeria.
