It taught me how influential art and design can be. How it can cause a positive impact to improve our lives, make space where there was none or just get us thinking about changing for the better. So I hope to carry those experiences with me into my career as a fashion designer now on the mainland.
Upcycling has become a big part of my expression since I believe it is the least wasteful way to make clothing. Using the overproduction to reduce itself instead of adding to it. I believe that the craft of working with second hand materials is still relatively unexplored so that will be my agenda for future projects.
