Using the ‘feather’ shape as a genesis for the design, I have played with the combination and position in the garment. It can be seen how the feather idea changes and develops through each garment, starting as a simple leather contour and finished with intricate embellished ‘teardrop shape’.
The
fabric choice was a transparent net and the collar pallet monochromatic.
I wanted to stress the ascent on the embellishment, hence the decision was to highlight the embroidery and secrete the foundation and color of the garment. I wanted to add volume to the garments, (moving from the natural curves of the body, creating new silhouettes).
This was achieved by building boned structure using net as a base, making the base garment look stiff yet light and gentle.
