"WEIGHT OFF MY SHOULDERS"
The collection aims to create fashion which instinctively evokes desire in the viewer. Through this I want to invite to a discussion on creative sustainability within fashion design.
Through visual research of cyberpunk and the gothic, both the historical medieval period a
nd the contemporary artistic concept, I found the aesthetics that came to be the starting point for the collection. Like the gothic, I wanted to express a seductive melancholia. Gloomy and tough yet sexy. From this I designed textile prints and created my own materials consisting of processed denim and lace.
The collection is varied in both material and silhouette. Still, while each look represents a different aspect of the project, they create a unified whole. For example, all looks accentuate the shoulders but in different ways.
