Why animé is a trend that the fashion industry cannot ignore:
1. Gen Z grew up with it, no matter where in the world. From Asia to Europe, every Gen Z person has at least once had contact with it.

orld of animé corresponds to the fairytale storytelling some brands are trying to create. The colours are bright, emotions of the characters are dramatic and the pace in which events turn is either very slow or very fast, making viewers want to experience this alternative reality. Some brands may be able to offer such feelings if they integrate the concept in advertising, products or retail.
3. Animé is also foreign and opens up a world that people aren't able to access. The mystery is enticing.
4. The characters are always the cool guy, the strong warrior, the very smart or cute girl. And more often than not, they are extremely fashionable. So it is a wise idea to transfer these values to the ideal customer of a brand.
5. For those who have grown out of watching animé, now live action remakes are on the rise. Again, this is an opportunity to enter a new market.
More possible reasons: the rise of TikTok fashion trends, the rise of personalized local experiences, the fun and creativity in doing this etc.
