SS18 collection is inspired by the physical process of metamorphosis, following all of the phases of butterfly’s life - from caterpillar, entrance in and being still in the cocoon, exiting it and finally flying away as a beautiful creature - butterfly.
The aim was to catch the characteristics of ea
ch phase:
slowness of a caterpillar, stillness and isolation of a cocoon, and lightweight, easiness and beauty of a butterfly.
This physical process of change can be compared to the internal processes that a human being goes through this life on a psychological level, or to the development and work process during the making of a collection.
Collection "Metamorphosis" was developed during MA studies at Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, Serbia.
