My BA collection got conceptualised as a response to the fact that we as consumers are increasingly buying brands instead of products; we identify with the values of the brands and put them on a pedestal - fashion turns into our religion where designers are the preachers and the brand is our church.
I wanted to explore the notion of CULT brands; is really anything without its identifying markers and what happens when the manufactured reality becomes a reality?
