Arthur Hoffner
Eyes on Talents member, Arthur Hoffner, is taking part in the REMIX, les Aliénés du Mobilier national exhibition at the Hôtel des Arts TPM in Toulon, until 3 November. For this third edition, some thirty artists, designers and interior architects have called on their creativity and sensibility to reinterpret and transform pieces removed from the inventory of the Mobilier national and give them a new lease of life in a scenography designed by Paul Bonlarron. A new opus in a creative upcycling initiative that combines eco-responsible thinking with the promotion of contemporary creation. Arthur Hoffner is presenting Cires perdues, two wall lights from the Mobilier national collection that he has transformed with wax and LEDs, as "a way of creating a loop between ancient and contemporary lighting techniques," explains the artist.
Passionate about telling the story of techniques and objects, Arthur Hoffner’s practice lies at the crossroads between sculpture, crafts and industrial design, combining ancient and emerging techniques.
