Grand Prix Inclusive Design
Eyes on Talents and Paris Good Fashion have launched the third edition of the Grand Prix Inclusive Design with APF France handicap. In the run-up to the Paris Paralympic Games, this new edition highlighted adaptive clothing and the future of inclusive clothing. The Grand Prix Inclusive Design 2024 was awarded to Hanan Tantush, founder of the British adaptive clothing brand Intotum. Intotum aims to create functional clothing for and with wheelchair users, using an exploratory and collaborative approach. The collection is inspired by outdoor clothing and nature, with a bold colour palette and integrated elements that allow for modularity and adaptability while reflecting a sportswear style. Intotum encourages empowerment through ease of dressing, enabling independence and individuality for a marginalised community.

Bénédicte de Torquat
Special Mention
The jury awarded Bénédicte de Torquat with a special mention for her æquidem project, a clothing brand designed for teenagers and young adults who are frequently hospitalised. Reconciling fashion and health in an inclusive and sustainable approach, æquidem is a concrete solution to increase confidence and independence by creating trendy, comfortable and functional clothing that will give people in care the flexibility they need in terms of clothing. The aim of the project is to combat the social isolation of vulnerable people by providing them with clothing adapted to care.

RIBA International Awards for Excellence
Seeking architectural projects that embody transformation and innovation across the world, the Royal Institute of British Architects has revealed the 22 winners of the RIBA International Awards for Excellence 2024. This year’s winners are spread across 14 countries and represent a significant cultural shift in the way that architecture is designed and built for current and future generations. The winning projects encompasse diverse typologies, from private homes and subway stations to museums and schools, all responding to their respective social, cultural and environmental challenges.

Baloise Art Prize
The Baloise Art Prize, an annual award presented by the Swiss banking and insurance group and Art Basel, announced its 2024 recipients: Hong Kong artist and filmmaker Tiffany Sia and Sudanese-Norwegian artist and activist Ahmed Umar. Tiffany Sia is a New York-based artist best-known for videos and writings that build on her experience living in the Hong Kong diaspora. Born in Sudan and growing up in Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Umar works across jewellery, sculpture and performance, transforming materials and references to Islam into poetic and spiritual forms.

Prix Saif - Les femmes s’exposent
Fiora Garenzi is the winner of the Prix Saif - Les femmes s’exposent for her series Djinns et dragons, taken in March 2024 on Socotra, an island in the Arabian Sea in Yemen. Between myths and legends, environmental issues and ingrained patriarchy, Fiora Garenzi takes a committed look at a place full of mystery. Her poetic documentary images tell the story of this remote and magical land.

Prix Fuji - Les femmes s’exposent
Anaïs Oudart is the winner of the Prix Fuji - Les femmes s’exposent for her series L’étreinte du serpent (The snake's embrace), a poignant documentary series set in the Democratic Republic of Congo, a territory where repeated wars since 1996 have caused more than five million deaths. Alternating portraits, settings and still lifes, Anaïs Oudart's work documents the daily lives of survivors of sexual violence, who fight tirelessly to overcome their trauma and break the cycle of violence.

Swiss Design Awards
The 17 Swiss Design Prizes were presented at the Swiss Design Competition to Swiss designers and designers working in Switzerland. An exhibition is being held in Basel to showcase the 50 projects submitted by the finalists in various fields: Design Research, Fashion and Textile Design, Graphic Design, Media and Interaction Design, Mediation and Scenography, Photography and Product Design.

European Collective Housing Award
The European Collective Housing Award has selected the winners for its inaugural edition, recognizing the importance of collective housing in creating sustainable and inclusive communities while also emphasizing the need to promote architectural excellence in this domain. Selected from 171 entries from 19 European countries, the winners are La Borda Cooperative Housing in Spain by Lacol in the new construction categoy and the Conversion of a Wine Storage into Housing in Switzerland in the renovation category.
