Athime de Crecy
Eyes on Talents member, Athime de Crecy, a 2017 graduate of ECAL in Switzerland, was named Rising Talent at Maison&Objet in September by the director of this establishment, as well as by Philippe Starck, with whom he collaborated for the first five years of his career. Athime de Crecy presented his electric scooter prototype as well as a selection of his works in line with the ambition of the Paris design fair to showcase creators committed to our century’s new challenges.
The young 27-year-old designer, who launched his studio Atelier Athime de Crecy a year ago, in Paris, explores innovative forms and functions in everyday objects as well as the production system that surrounds them. He specializes in prospective industrial design, convinced that the next generations of energy-constrained products are already defining new aesthetic norms. He seeks novelty and efficiency away from conventional archetypes to achieve a strong synergy of usage and symbolic functions.
