UIA 2030 Award
The UIA 2030 Award, a partnership with UN Habitat, promotes the work of architects that contributes to the delivery of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The award invited architects around the world to submit entries for built projects which demonstrate design quality and have made significant contributions towards achievement of some of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This first edition of a biennial awards program, selected winning projects from Germany, Hong Kong, Argentina, Bangladesh, and China, from 125 submitted projects in 40 countries.

The Prix du dessin contemporain is awarded by the association "Le Cabinet des amateurs de dessin des Beaux-Arts de Paris" which has participated since 2005 in enriching the graphic collections of the Beaux-Arts de Paris. Cassius Baron was born in 1999 in the United Kingdom, he lives in Paris and is currently a student at the Beaux-Arts de Paris. Through drawing and sculpture, he is particularly interested in volume. Cassius Baron mainly develops figurative works that exploit the human form from casts of deformed faces.

The winning project, Sardine Sardine, imagined by Madeleine Oltra and Angelo de Taisne, is a reinterpretation of outdoor holidays and all the codes of nomadic living. Under the tent in three shades of yellow and ecru, we go from the camp bed, with its mattress redesigning the inflatable tubes of our childhood, to floor mats of all sizes which lie down and overlap for more comfort, to aluminum engraved with a floral pattern. Central element in the presentation of the two winners, all the materials are natural, sustainable, recycled or with a low ecological footprint.

Claire Pondard and Léa Peyrere graduated from ECAL in Industrial Design. Observers as well as actors of the digital world and its evolution, through Anima II they take a sensitive and poetic look at technology and connected objects by adopting a transdisciplinary approach combining robotics, art, craftsmanship and biology. On view, laser-cut colored plastic sheets come to life and react to their environment, like creatures of the abyss.

Villa Albertine Residencies
Villa Albertine announced the artists, researchers, and cultural professionals selected for its residency program. Customized to the needs of each resident, it allows them to embed in the American city of their choice and draw creative inspiration from the communities and cultural landscape surrounding them. The selected residents in the "Visual Arts" section are Raphaël Barontini, Abdelhak Benallou, François Chastanet, Diane Cescutti, Euridice Zaituna Kala, Paul Maheke, Myriam Mihindou, Sara Ouhaddou and Victoire Thierrée. In the "Craft & Design" section they are Chloé Bensahel, Gala Espel, Eve George, Manuela Paul-Cavallier, Felipe Ribon and François-Xavier Richard. In the "Architecture" section they are Mathilde Billet, Frédéric Chartier & Pascale Dalix and Feda Wardak.

LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize
The LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2022 has been awarded to Dahye Jeong for the piece A time of Sincerity. Delicate yet solid, the basket is woven out of thin horsehair to create a flexible geometric design that transposes a 500-year-old hat-making technique and combines it with an ancient earthenware form. Exploiting the natural elasticity of the horsehair fibre, it has been threaded onto a needle and woven into loops to create a work that expresses both the robustness and the beauty of life. The Craft Prize Jury celebrated Jeong’s dedication to reviving and updating the tradition, as well as the delicate perfection, transparency and lightness of the work.

Jinghe New City Culture & Art Centre Commission
Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) has won the international competition to design Jinghe New City Culture & Art Centre. Located in the north of Xi’an in China's Shaanxi province, Jinghe County has become a hub for science and technology. The city is slowly growing into a centre for industries working towards sustainable and renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and aerospace. In an official statement, the studio elaborated on the intention of its design saying, "Organised as a series of flowing volumes, layers and surfaces interconnecting with courtyards and landscapes, the design defines a sequence of interior and exterior cultural and recreational spaces for its community."

The Prix Jeunes Talents des Agents Associés aims to distinguish young authors in photography and illustration likely to enrich, through their creativity, the very specific sector of commissioning in communication and advertising. Laureate in photography, the work of Joséphine Vallé Franceschi is made up of overprints of film photographs praising happy summer memories. In illustration the laureate is Alice Botigliero, founder of Forme Brute, an independant Art Direction and Graphic Design studio, based between Bordeaux and Paris.

Twenty-five Year Award
The Twenty-five Year Award by the American Institute of Architects is conferred on a building that has set a precedent, stood the test of time for 25 to 35 years and continues to set standards of excellence for its architectural design and significance. In the spiritual exercises of the Jesuits, a religious order of the Catholic Church, no single method is prescribed. Instead, the sect recognizes that "different methods helped different people." That ideal is reflected in the Chapel of St. Ignatius, Seattle University’s main chapel designed by Steven Holl Architects in 1997, where differences in light unify to support the worship and ritual needs of the university community.
