Nature is a medium of fossilization literally and figuratively. Amber Memories is a collection that entombs the wearer by bridging the scientific formation process of amber with the metaphorical way natural spaces become keepers of memories.
All fabrics in the collection have been hand dyed with pla
nt material using a variety of techniques. Each look represents a new stage of formation as the body becomes a genesis of matter. Lightweight fabrics are gradually built off the body through volume, wrapped wooden structures, and hand grown root embellishments– literally preserving roots of the past.
