ostalgia is a feeling that has been close at hand, even though I haven't been aware of it before. Without a desire to go back in time, I let myself dream back to a time that has been. I found a book about sailors and sailors' lives. The booked showed black and white pictures, where you could almost feel the materials in the clothes and see the nostalgia in the sailors' eyes. In the pictures there was a clear struggle for life and melancholy that I liked.

My bachelor project is a nostalgic trip to explore classic materials like leather, cotton and wool. I have delved into the ways of using them in sewing and knitting, to bring them up to date, and transform materials and technology into something relevant.

The collection consists of seven outfits suitable for both men and women. I've worked with the power that is found in sustainable and trustworthy clothing. I have explored how a garment can go from gender, traditional fit and function, to something modern or perhaps even timeless.

To do this, I had to explore both others and my own views of nostalgia. What arouses nostalgia for emotions? How should I be able to create a garment that takes you both back in time, yet at the same time forward? How can I keep the collection innovative and timeless?
