This project was mentored by Swiss designer Michel Charlot in collaboration with fibre cement producer Eternit (brand: SwissPearl). The purpose was to design new shapes for outdoor furniture, taking into account structural constraints imposed by the moulding techniques of Eternit, and to train on pro
ducing high-quality cardboard mock-ups.
For this order, I decided to design a flower box with an embossed pattern directly machined into the mould. This pattern is inspired by David Hockney's painting Portrait of an artist (Pool with two figures).
