Alexander the Great managed not only to build an army that remained undefeated until his death but also to co-operate with the people whose land he had conquered. Combined with his deep respect for the foreign cultures and his absolute commitment to maintain and develop his empire - even if this meant working together with former enemies - he inspired many and coined the term ‚co-petition‘. Starting from here the collection explores the aesthetics of ancient warfare uniforms and provides a rich range of references that can be seen in the materials itself and the combination of fabrics and materials. Strong, wool and raw cotton can be seen. The collection as a whole combines such rich and enduring fabrics with an avant-garde expression of forms and thereby embodies an aesthetically, post-modern equivalent of Alexander’s undefeated army.
