This is a collection that explores Georgia O’Keeffe, both her personal style and artworks. I was inspired by her works and clothing after her first visit to New Mexico, where her organic, bone paintings portray both the strength and beauty of nature. The shapes of her paintings are translated into fl
uid, textured, and structured silhouettes. These elements were then mixed with Georgia’s personal style which was minimalistic, simple, modern, androgynous, and tailored. Her inclination towards nature are also implemented into the collection through the use of organic texture and shapes in fabric manipulation.
