Rehabilitation of the rehearsal building shared by French Republican Guard’s orchestra and French Army’s choir, at Caserne des Célestins, Paris.
The score library is spread over two floors within one piece of wood. The space is not closed by partitions but only with shelving units.
The ground flo
or library contains also a little workspace. More than a storage equipment, the structure serves as a symbolic airlock between the offices and the rehearsal rooms.
A longitudinal opening has been made on both roof and first floor flooring in order to bring light along the blind wall.
A embossed metal coating spreads punctually this natural light.
