My design intention is to reconstruct everyday garments into minimal, yet relevant RTW. This was motivated by my wish to bring something that is an otherwise exclusive design approach, reconstruction, to an everday context in the modern women’s life. These common garments are a unique combination of
patterns and textures that invite for tactile stimulation. The inspiration for the collection arose from Michael Johansson’s work entitled “Real-life tetris”. This work was intriguing to see how one can showcase “waste” in beautiful abstracts. The thought of presenting “waste” to the wearer in an aesthetically pleasing way was motivating for me.
