The design intention of my graduate collection is to provide functional garments that are light and soft for enabling modern women to “move, live, travel and - crucially - work” (Walker, 2011). With these functional garments, I am aiming to make them feel feminine and elegant at the same time, no com
promise. To emphasise this lightness, the garments do not include lining nor darts. The garments are embracing the ripped feeling inspired by the torn paper collages. This is captured by overlapping assembly and raw edges.
