A response to 'Digital Culture', this brooch refers to an error report of a corrupt image file which reads:
Offending Command: Image
I interpreted this message as a metaphor for the feeling of being overwhelmed by information in the digital age and the lack of physical human inte
raction we experience, laboriously hand embroidering it in an effort to reinstall depth in our interactions.
When worn, the brooch enables both sides of the embroidery to be seen, highlighting the unexpected beauty in the construction, a new visual language of its own.
