Julie Conrad, who studied design and craftsmanship in Paris, did an internship in the United States where she discovered self-manufacturing and eco-design. After returning to Europe, she created Julie Conrad Design Studio in 2013. This young designer splits her time between client orders and personal product design projects. She likes to take materials out of their initial context or play with scales as in the iconic Unpaper room divider. Her credo: create a moment of surprise.

Julie Conrad is also involved in collaborations, for example the DONO project (from duerno in Luxembourgish which means after) where she designs objects made of gigantic tarpaulins like those found on the Adolphe Bridge in Luxembourg: knapsacks, bike bags, lampshades …

Julie Conrad participated in the Luxembourg pavilion at Expo2020Dubai in 2022.
