I collaborate with Kotaro Uranaka who is metal craftsman.
I researched how to use 3D printer for Japan culture.
This time , I choose “Natsume” as design item.
Nature is tea caddy for Japanese tea ceremony.
I print the object with 3D printer, and then casted.
After this phase, I ask Kotaro to give pat
ina on surface.
This making process allow to my Natsume has originality.
Because We use crafts technic for final process, So There is no same pattern object in the world. However We can produce a lot in short time, because we use 3D printer.
