The concept of this bag is “blurring.”
By taking the effects of blurring you can bring out the beauty of the items inside this bag. And color, shape or graphics of the items put into this bagbecomes a pattern. This effect can bring great fun to the viewer by getting them anticipate what might be in
the bag.
Through experimentation, I found that the hexagonal structure of PP was perfect for giving a blurred look when used as a filter. Using this hexagonal structure as reference, I created a completely new structure by bonding 40 thousand straws.
This new material has the transparency and “blurring” effect like snow. This material is bonded on only one side , which allows some flexibility. In addition, by changing the thickness of the straws you can control and change the level of blurring.
The angle of how you see this bag can also provide a completely new look to it. By bonding both sides with the straws you can increase the overall structural strength and broaden new possibilities of other use for this material.
