Okan and me wanted to redefine volume. sculptural in its form, it commands light and shadow, both fighting its every side.
We tried to create a distinction between the lines and the black/ blanc areas. In my opinion Okan used the latter as a graphic elem
ent in its own right, evolving in a moving dynamic, dancing a perfect tango with the former, never overshadowing it.
I gave a lot of try to add airbrush on several layers of tulle.
The eye is sprayed through all 10 layers and while the skirt is blurring- but never become lost.
