Since launching in 2017, La Bouche Rouge has been defining a new standard in pure, sustainable beauty as the French Clean Beauty Pioneer.

Concerned that the Cosmetics industry is the third largest environmental polluter, and that 83% of the World’s water is polluted with plastic, La Bouche Rouge ha

...

s decided to avoid the use of plastic from the product itself, to the formula and production processes.

Starting with the lipstick as its icon, the Paris-based makeup Maison has set out to unite French traditional craftsmanship, and eco-responsibility. In 2020 the Maison has grown its collection to a full sustainable and revolutionary make up line – clean, microplastic-free and refillable.

Beauty for you and the planet. Refillable and responsible.

Purpose

Wallpaper - An Interview with our Founder
"The way you consume beauty, your daily routine, is part of how you shape your future. Today, if you want to create a luxury brand, you cannot destroy the future of the planet. You have to make a commitment."
Beauty Toaster - In interview with our Founder
« Quand on parle de luxe, on parle de sublime, mais je ne peux pas sublimer le quotidien en détruisant l’avenir » - Nicolas Gerlier
Madame Figaro - An interview with our Founder
« Enfin une nouvelle vision de la beauté. La Bouche Rouge allie le luxe et l’écoresponsabilité, avec des objets et accessoires de beauté sans aucun micro-plastique et rechargeables. »
Our Difference - No more plastic in beauty
The cosmetic industry is the third most polluting industry, after automotive and fashion. At La Bouche Rouge, we chose to avoid using plastics, even those recycled. From our formulation process to our products and our distribution in stores. No more plastic in Beauty.
Our Difference - French Craftsmanship
Reintroducing craftsmanship and the artisanal tradition is the most beautiful way to fight the use of plastic and to put traditional know-how back into our daily lives. With a refillable mechanism we avoid overconsumption and develop beautiful, handmade objects for life.
Our positive economy project in Togo
La Bouche Rouge is a statement, an invitation to discover and consume another kind of beauty, to develop a more positive economy. Ever since its launch, La Bouche Rouge has shared the equivalent of 100 litres of drinking water for every lipstick sold. The economy of sharing must be the economy of tomorrow.
Our Difference - Break the limit of green research
We create and develop our beauty formulas in our own laboratory in France. They are vegan, without beeswax, animal fat, petrochemical derivatives and microplastics and are not tested on animals. The ingredients are selected for their quality, efficacy and origin. We guarantee that they were produced with respect for people and the planet.
