PLAY SPACE pushes the significance of the sartorial, the structural appearance of virtual space, and the connectedness between each element of the garment. Inspiration is drawn directly from a question, one that asks how virtual space can be separated from constructed space using light. By embedding
cotton onto cashmere, I merges light and heavy materials. I used inquisitiveness as a fuel to create formal garments that represent tangible space via light with various hues layered upon one another in the simplest, yet cleanest garments. As the name suggests, PLAY SPACE manipulates the perception of space, of how designs manage the space they take up, as well as the expanse surrounding them, and of how illumination can alter this perception.
