vanced diploma design and pattern making. Traditionally trained in draping and pattern making, I pursued a more sustainable way of designing through digital during my time at RCA. This resolution came from my own practice but also my time in the industry. I interned for Alexander Wang and Proenza Schouler in New York in various position, from production development to print and embroidery design. Working in digital, It lets me cut down waste, as I mostly did the design, prototyping, and print engineering solely on computer. My point was to show the translation between digital and craft in a high-end/luxury case – how it is more conscious, but also more efficient than the current design practice in the fashion industry. Besides using those tools, my project is an exploration around identity and nostalgia in the digital age. It allies new ways of designing and presenting while respecting the product and the craft, which needs to be preserved and celebrated.. Creating this library of 3D shapes it came naturally to use them in a 3D space using VR tools to immerse people in a tailored space which influence emotions through visual sense. It is also a take on what could be the future of retail as it would allow company to change their store more often creating excitement. It also celebrate freedom since 3D isn't constraint by any physical proprieties.
