As part of France Design Week 2023, Design Occitanie organized the event “Through the Prism of Design.” Co-hosted in partnership with the École de Condé in Toulouse, the event took place from September 14 to 28 at the design school. The program included an exhibition and conference.

Design Week, “Through the Prism of Design” is an invitation to discover other ways of doing, thinking, designing and therefore perceiving. Through a variety of projects, the exhibition revealed the alternatives that design can bring to the way we respond to the current and cross-cutting challenges of the world (social, societal, environmental and economic). From objects to spaces, methodologies to material research, all are intended to reexamine and redefine our relationship with living things.
Between scenography and lighting effects, the projects were presented through the prism of six themes with the aim of revealing to the general public the breadth of the creative process that is design, which is very often associated only with aesthetic purposes.

The power of design, a conference presenting new ways of responding to the current and cross-cutting challenges of the world.
To encourage discussion and networking, a conference was also held at the school on Thursday, September 21 at 6:30 p.m.
Entitled “The Power of Design,” the conference featured several speakers who shared their systemic approach to supporting numerous private and public actors in their innovation and transition efforts (collaborative innovation, experience design, strategies, models, etc.).
