experience in footwear creation, from concept to final product and repairs.
My educational journey, crowned by a Master of Arts in Footwear from the University of the Arts London, has equipped me with a profound understanding of design principles and expertise in leatherwork, as recognized by multiple prestigious awards during my studies.

It's undeniable that fashion is one of the most polluting industries, but in the right hands it can also serve good purposes. Designer Anna Melegh's unique creations send a message to the blinded members of consumer society that fashion and sustainability can go hand in hand.
Anna Melegh is a footwear and accessories designer known for using the methods of surrealism to turn everyday objects inside out. Originally from Hungary, Anna has nearly a decade of education focused on art and shoe design. Her innovative approach has garnered recognition in the footwear industry. H
er illustrations accompanied her designs until the beginning of 2024 when she created a series of greetings cards. Sustainability is always involved in her footwear designs and professional role. She wishes to continue this sustainable approach in her illustration and animation work as well.
We spoke with Anna to find out more about her illustration work.
The results are in – this year’s International Competition’s Footwear Category Winner is the talented Anna Melegh, with her entry Haute Couture Trash.
Anna will be joining the other 3 Category Winners at the live International Final event on November 2, presenting her design in front of the judges
for the chance to become the Overall Winner.
We caught up with one of our alumnae, Anna Melegh who studied MA Footwear on her latest projects and showing homage to her recent awards since leaving London College of Fashion.
