Following my collection Les Rayeurs in the Fall of 21, I entered Spring 2022 with a desire to continue my research in knitwear while simultaneously reviewing my fascination with the male body. What I came to understand through my research was that the focus in men’s tailoring has always been on craft

and perfection, leaving less room for design experimentation. I however, wanted to question the traditional silhouette of men’s suiting by rethinking “workwear”. During development, I became fascinated with lines and geometry, and how I could use them to shape the body. ‘un vrai tailleur’, meaning “a real suit”, uses the traditional techniques of tailoring, and the use of the knitting machine to create a refined uniform that mocks the very professionalism of the suit.
