Transmissions project in collaboration with Cristóbal Balenciaga Museoa inspired by the key ideas of Minimalism in relation to fashion design, such as reduction to surface and materials, purity of lines, essential structure, and precision of execution.
The design process has a strong architectural i
nfluence coupled with fine tailoring. At the early stage of the project development, a molding technique has been applied to achieve the sculptural shape of the outer garment and the mold was used as a starting point to experiment and explore the essence, idea of the coat. The dress is based on the zero waste concept and essentially consists of square pieces put on a bias, precisely stitched together to drape over the female body in the most organic way.
