Dear all,
Let me introduce myself, I am Jean Privé.
At the moment, I am the Communication Manager of Totem agency based in Paris but I am looking for new opportunities after 6 years working in this agency.
My 10 years various experiences in this industry set me apart because I know the communicat
ion industry but I have also worked in fashion journalism, having started out at Stiletto, Laurence Benaïm’s magazine (Yves Saint Laurent's official biographer) where I was both Communication Officer and Editor. Then, I started doing freelance work for Totem Fashion as a Consultant on several brands : perfume, accessories, ready-to-wear and Couture. I also collaborated with jewelry house Boucheron for their Vendôrama exhibition at the Monnaie de Paris. These multiple projects lead me to be recruited permanently at Totem as Communication Manager.
I work with a team of 5 people and manage two PR agents and communications officers. This taught me organisational skills as well as team spirit. Throughout the year, I plan brand strategies and communication schedules. I also coordinate everything from the image of the brand, digital strategy (including influencers), press relations, events while overseeing my team’s work. For example, I have worked for UGG for two years. Our main mission was rebranding the label and changing its image. For this, we set up collaborations with brands such as Y-Project, Molly Goddard, or Telfar. This allowed us to turn UGG into more of an edgier fashion brand. In the meantime, we also worked on campaigns with two goals: booking different types of personalities to make the brand more inclusive and focusing on the emotional character of the brand (hence the “Feel Good” campaign). At the end of 2020, after two years, the brand was mentioned in major titles as one of the most searched and important brands of the year: New York Times, Vogue UK, Vanity Fair.
