An example of this would be a cats hair standing up on the back of their neck when they are scared or elephant’s wrinkles changing shape from when they are calm to when they are anxious. I took this research and my research of psychotextiles and color theory and merged them all together while designing.

As human beings we are all different. Some of us are depressed, others have anxiety, some are happy, but most of all we are all together. My goal of this collection is to show that its okay to be different because being different is what makes us special.

While designing this collection, I put a main focus on material development and thermochromic dyeing. Thermochromic dyes mean that a material has the ability to change colors in regards to its surrounding temperature. You’ll see that in my collection, all of the pieces that I created actually have two looks to them.
