As an alternative to synthetic dyes, SPIRULAB plans to revisit the classic dyeing know-how from spirulina, a micro-algae with pigment content.
This project, carried out in partnership with the iconic Manufacture des Gobelins in Paris, allows craftsmen to explore dyeing from a bio-resource which can b
e cultivated on a short circuit. From this collaboration emerged a new cold and capillary dyeing process on wool fibers and silk. In order to pursue and illustrate this research, a laboratory on a reduced scale stages the natural ingredients needed for this ecological dyeing process.
