The purpose of textile devouring is to chemically destroy fibers from a fabric in order to reveal its transparency. The destruction is achieved by using a heated paste on a support composed of two distinct fibers : natural and synthetic fibers. SLOW DEVORED is designed as an alternative and natural p

ractice to other harmful finishing processes.
Following the pattern of a matrix stencil, a fiber-decomposing animal slowly ennobles the fabric in transparency. This research is carried out in collaboration with different species of textile decomposers thanks to the collaborations of three entomologists. To set up this bio-assisted devouring device, a cabinet has been conceived to value the delicate work of the insects. The first SLOW DEVORED results allow us to hope for highquality finished pieces, both rare and unique.
