The collection The Blue Hour highlights the modern Swedish forestry in relation to older times when the forest was seen as a holy room. By giving the forest a persona, Skogsrået, a traditional Swedish guardian creature, I wanted to give the forest a voice, a right to exist. The relationship with the
forest has been studied through my kinship with the forest Finns, who lived out of Slash-and-burn agriculture while at the same time living in symbiosis with nature.
