I try to reconstruct memories from details that are my own, precise, sometimes blurry and other completely immaculate sensations. These memories remain unstable, fragmented. that seem uninteresting and can be considered as the key to remembrance. That’s what I’m really interested in. I chose to take porcelain objects as a means of expression because they are objects used during family reunions and also as objects of transmission. These family reunions mark the spirits, form memories. It was important for me to destroy to rebuild because I needed to analyze and to appropriate, to create my own object and thus to “materialize” my own memory of a moment through a sculpture. The use of hot glue further promoted the idea of fragility, instability of memory.
