Murata - by Murata Juko, a forerunner of wabi-sabi thinking - is a wall light that highlights the aesthetic properties of polyether foam, giving the space a warm and muted atmosphere.
The fixture is composed of a bent brass structure, an LED light tube and a polyether foam drop diffuser. Intended f
or the manufacture of mattresses, the foam is an essential element for our daily comfort. However, it is invisible.
My objective is to enhance it by diverting it from its initial function, using it as a light diffuser and giving it a privileged place in our interior spaces.
