To celebrate the 40 years of punk culture in 2016, Taschen decided to create a beautiful book presenting punk culture through music, cinema, fashion and politics. This book is aimed at an audience of amateurs of beautiful books, history, photographs, arts and cultures, and is intended to be subversiv
e and quirky. I have chosen to develop the notion of counter-culture, the idea being that punk culture has a strong identity, outside the society’s codes, from which it emancipates itself by reinventing its own rules.
