I envisaged this “House of Love” in the form of a square, open to its natural setting with long glazed passageways leading to the individual cabins housing the suites. Each one has its own secret garden, inside and outside. A haven of light and shade that toys with sunlight in a pared-down game of elegance and line. Sculpted with logs or timber frames, wood creates stripes in the white lime walls. Smooth concrete unites the floors, baths, and banquette seating covered with linen and cotton, as one. A world of earth and dune tones, fashioned out of natural mate- rials and with furniture made to measure. The sky inspired the color of the ceramic tiles lining the swimming pool, and conifers add to the comfort of the extra-wide sofas. An invitation to refocus on the essentials.
