Drawing on a combination of references from her background, cinema and an active interest in experimental photography from the twenties, Elsa set about building her visual language, which has manifested in a wonderfully perceptive, poetic style of photography.
First of all she is a wanderer, a nomad image-maker not based anywhere, who is gently emerging in the photography world. Her creativity, which is kept alive by travelling and exploring unknown territories, brought her to the other side of the pond, landing in Brazil.
Photographer Elsa Kostic was born in Paris in 1990 with Bosnian origins. Kostic’s background is in graphic design, but she is widely known for her nomadic lifestyle—constantly traveling to photograph and share new narratives. Kostic spent 6 weeks in Miami and decided to photograph a motorbike crew (@
miamiskeet) through a decontextualized approach. Her series showcases the beauty and elegance of movement with which the bikers ride and imagine, as the title suggests, their final ride before Miami is plunged into the sea.

Dark skin, green leaves, yellow light, he is not only beautiful online, he is also beautiful in Brazil. Because of its history, contrast in Brazil will never fade away. But beauty will always be there. The new Brazilian creative generation breaks the rules and gives a new breath to this very contrast
ed country. Bringing back the beauty to the real life makes it stronger and drive them to don't forget what the most amazing thing they have: nature.
Distância, is an “on-the-road” project which is based on the distance.
The project Distância is about contrast because, at the same time, I felt close to the Brazilian culture and I also couldn’t get closer to these people I was so much fascinated by. It shows city life style and more isolated one, but in the same type of social class because for me, it was the richest
one in term of culture.”
Elsa Kostic likes to capture the lifestyle of the people and the places she visits. We featured her work a couple of months ago, with her series ‘Distancia‘ – an “on-the-road” project based on the concept of distance. With ‘The Last Ride’, she now proposes a photo story built around the cultural dive
rsity that drove her to a famous motorbike band based in Miami – and the denial of the population regarding climate change.
