Che-An Lin was born and raised in Taiwan and later moved to New York City to attend Parsons School of Design in 2014.
In 2016, his work was featured in a global competition called Shape The Invisible by ZARA, he was one of those 60 selected designers around the world for performing extraordinary sk
ills in deconstruction and pattern making. He was also nominated as one of the finalists in Joe's Black Book which aims to discover the young talents in the U.S. as its calling.
In 2018, Che-An Lin has received the awards in accessory competitions such as Politecnico Calzaturiero, Safilo Co., and Joseph C. Moore. He currently has his work displayed on Eye on Talents which is a Paris based online platform that showcases portfolios of individually selected designers scouted throughout the world.
- Trend research and create mood boards for design inspiration.
- Create flats and detail sketches for fabric, trim sourcing and update in PLM system for production team to meet the design requirements.
- Coordinate and communicate with pattern makers and sample makers on garment construction and sam
ple details.
- Attend model fitting such as sample preparation, make appointment with fitting models and take notes during fittings for design alteration and pattern correction.
- Spec samples and send feedbacks to factories for quality control and production improvement.
- Organize samples by seasons and categories for future reference.
- Assist denim design team to help meet the deadline if needed.

- Assist designer with both technical sketches and hand sketches.
- Assist with sketches, specs, presentation boards, meet preparation, sample management and administrative tasks.

- Provide supports to the design director on a daily basis by helping with sample construction, handle administrative tasks such as creating tech packs and art sheets.
