Casa no muro - la maison sur le mur - en portugais, est un projet de cabane pour enfant, dessiné par Martial Marquet et Saperlipopette les architectes (M.Omais, O. Gomes). A l’origine les enfants du client lui demandèrent une cabane dans un arbre. Mais le seul arbre proche de la maison était sur le terrain de leur voisin. En visitant le site, les architectes remarquèrent l’omniprésence du mur de soutènement en béton, autour du jardin et frôlant l’arbre. Véritable barrière visuelle fermant le jardin, et par conséquent constituant la limite du terrain de jeux des enfants, il s’imposa comme une évidence d’utiliser ce mur pour ouvrir de nouvelles perspectives : la cabane sera sur le mur. Elle offrira ainsi une vue panoramique aux enfants sur la campagne environnante.
Bénéficiant d’un budget minimum la cabane a été construite par le client, les architectes, les artisans et voisins du village.

Le projet s’articule autour d’une longue passerelle, s’étendant le long du mur, ponctuée “d’événements” : une échelle d’accès, une cabane, des assises, une plate-forme belvédère... Ces différentes typologies sont produites par le même système constructif en V, qui se déforme en fonction des différents usages. La cabane est fermée par des planches à claire-voies, qui laissent passer la lumière tout en préservant l’intimité de l’espace de jeux des enfants.
Un grand haillon orienté vers la campagne permet d’ouvrir totalement la maisonnette. Imperceptible quand il est fermé, les enfants peuvent l’ouvrir grâce à des vérins pneumatiques, transformant ainsi la cabane pour un nouvelle histoire.
Le parcours qui s’étire sur le mur se termine par une large plateforme sur-élevée. Propice aux jeux d’extérieurs, elle donne une vue imprenable sur la garrigue, les pins et chênes lièges en contrebas.

At the beginning the childs of the client told him they wanted a tree house to play within. But the only tree close to the house was on the neighbours' land. When visiting the site the architects noticed the omnipresence of the concrete fence-wall around the garden, almost touching the tree. A real visual border closing the garden, and consequently constituing the limit of the kids playground. It appeard obvious to them then to use the wall to open new perspectives : the cabin would be on the wall. Thereby it would offer panoramic views on the surrounding countryside to the kids.
The client had only a tiny budget, so the cabin as been built by the client himself helped by the architects, local craftsmen and neigbours from the village.

The project organized itself along a large footpath, stretched on the wall, punctuated by "events" :
a ladder, a cabin, seatings, a belvédere platform... Those different typologies are produce by the same V shaped structural systeme, that is deformed according to the various uses.
The cabin is closed by louver boards, they let the the light getting in, but preserving enough intimacy for the kids play. A large gate oriented toward the fields allow to open totally the cabin. Almost Impossible to be noticed when it's closed, the kids can open it easily thanks to pneumatic jacks, transforming the cabin for a new play.
The footpath along the wall is ending on a large heighten platform. Dedicated to outdoor play, it gives an amazing view on the surrounding landscape of oaks and pine trees.
