Eyes on Talents member, dach&zephir studio, will be talking about their work and their motivations on Saturday 13 September during a conference at the MAD – musée des Arts décoratifs, as part of Paris Design Week 2025. Since 2015, the studio formed by Florian Dach and Dimitri Zephir has been renewing a singular approach developed to put the vibrant Creole cultures on the map of French design history. A design of relationships, embracing the plurality of cultural and creative histories of a France that is not limited to the Hexagon. Last June, 10 baskets from their Machann Pannié collection entered the permanent collection of the MAD, finding thier place in the history of French decorative arts. Machann Pannié, the third part of the multi-year Elòj Kréyòl research project, is devoted to basketry and was carried out between Guadeloupe and France, highlighting the beauty and potential of Guadeloupean weaving craftsmanship, expressed through various basket typologies.
