Anna Resei
Eyes on Talents member, Anna Resei, took part in the first edition of Trienal Design Covilhã in June, where she presented the results of her residency at the J. Gomes textile factory. Working exclusively with recycled and repurposed materials to explore new design possibilities, she created jd.espreguiçadeira, an outdoor seating piece inspired by the sun of Portugal and the lush, hilly landscape of Covilhã. Formed by horizontal rolls of textile, its design creates a dynamic surface that allows flexibility and playful interaction with the object. Without permanent elements, but with a thoughtful composition, the piece can evolve with its environment and the people who use it, and be easily maintained, repaired and ultimately recycled.
Anna Resei is an Austrian designer and graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven. Anna creates both functional and abstract interior objects that explore our relationship with the material world. Currently designer in residence at Center Rog in Ljubljana, Slovenia, she will be at the Venice Design Biennial in September, where she will present her collaboration with Vetralia by Arte Veneziana.
