Xavier Brisoux
Eyes on Talents member, Xavier Brisoux, exhibited last month at the Révélations biennial. Under the glass nave of the Grand Palais, Xavier presented his Maille Haute-Sculpture. Knitting abstract volumes like a sculptor, his work blurs the boundaries between craft, design, fashion and art. Soft yarn becomes structure and pushes back its limits. At Révélations, Xavier Brisoux presented his entire body of work for the first time, showing that he can literally dress anything, from the body to chairs and mirrors. His abstract forms and volumes become objects, sculptures or body adornments. The work reveals itself in the repetition of a series of passionate, almost obsessive gestures that open up infinite possibilities. Never cut the thread, is his statement.
Xavier Brisoux will be exhibiting from July 1 to 7 at Révéler, an event organized by Patricia Lerat, at Heureux Les Curieux, in the heart of Paris' Marais district. An opportunity to meet and exchange with creators, to capture the essence of their gesture and approach.
