Fritsch-Durisotti

Eyes on Talents member, Fritsch-Durisotti's Spline armchair, which combines rattan and steel, has been selected by the Mobilier national in 2023 as one of the new designs to be added to its collections. Spline is the result of research into the use of rattan fibre in design. Fritsch-Durisotti has developed a language in which natural fibre can express its particularities and warmth. Thanks to a system of staples integrated into the steel structure, the construction process developed by the studio eliminates all binding, making the Spline project part of a virtuous life-cycle management approach.
Antoine Fritsch founded his agency in 1993 and has shared creative direction with Vivien Durisotti since 2006. The studio is based on a balance between complex industrial design projects and projects of free expression. Last January, the studio was awarded Le FRENCH DESIGN 100 for its Corail table designed for Roche Bobois, which base is made of concrete using a 3D printer and can be customised.
